Bob has over 20 years of public accounting experience
starting his accounting career prior to graduating from California State
University Bakersfield in 1973 when he worked as an intern at Fox &
Company which, at that time, was the only national accounting firm with an
office in Bakersfield. After graduating from Cal-State, he continued his
career with Fox & Company providing accounting, auditing and tax services
to a variety of business and individual clients. In May 1982 Bob started his
own practice. In July 1985, he merged his practice and became a principal in
that firm which is now known as Fisher, Keathley & Ross.
Bob's extensive experience includes retailing, agribusiness, financial
institutions, governmental and non-profit organizations.
Bob has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants since
becoming a Certified Public Accountant in January 1976. He has been active
with the Bakersfield Chapter of the California State Society having served as
a director and treasurer and as chairman of various committees. He has been a
guest speaker for many professional and civic organizations.
In addition to his professional activities, Bob is also an active member in
the Kiwanis Club of Kern and is currently serving as a director. He is also a
director of the Kern Kiwanis Foundation. His primary hobby is antique cars.
He is member and past president of the Model T Club of Kern County and is a
member of the Model T Ford Club of America, and the Horseless Carriage Club
of America.
